Emergency Department Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Rotating shifts between 07:00 - 19:30, 11:00 - 23:30, and 19:00 - 07:30. Every other weekend is required.

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in a trauma environment and be proficient in various emergency nursing procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive care to patients experiencing a range of emergency medical conditions.
• Monitoring and managing patients' vital signs, administering medications and treatments, and performing emergency procedures as necessary.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary support team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Assisting in triage and prioritization of patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Implementing safety protocols and isolation precautions to manage infections and prevent abuse.

Required experience/certifications/licensure include:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience is preferred.
• Active RN license is required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
