This role combines technical knowledge of BAS/DDC systems with business development, estimating, and customer relationship management. You’ll work directly with contractors, engineers, facility teams, and building owners to identify opportunities, develop technical solutions, prepare proposals, and secure new installation, retrofit, and service projects. What You’ll Do Develop new opportunities for BAS, HVAC controls, DDC, retrofit, and service projects Build relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, consulting engineers, facility managers, and building owners Review mechanical plans, specifications, sequences of operation, and controls requirements Help determine project scope, system requirements, and appropriate controls solutions Prepare estimates, scopes of work, proposals, and technical presentations Present building automation solutions and recommendations to customers Negotiate project scope, pricing, and commercial terms Pursue plan‑and‑spec, negotiated, retrofit, upgrade, and service opportunities Maintain an active pipeline and provide sales forecasts Partner with engineering, estimating, project management, and operations teams Ensure a smooth transition from project award into execution Develop long‑term customer relationships and repeat business What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, commercial HVAC, or related technical sales Strong understanding of BAS/BMS, DDC controls, and commercial HVAC systems Experience selling, estimating, designing, or supporting controls projects Ability to read mechanical drawings, specifications, controls documents, and sequences Experience developing project estimates, proposals, scopes, or technical solutions Strong customer‑facing communication and presentation skills Ability to develop relationships and generate new business Existing relationships within the construction, mechanical, engineering, or facilities market are a plus Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally throughout the area Compensation & Benefits $90,000–$110,000 base salary, depending on experience 100% employer‑paid health insurance for employees and dependents 401(k) with 4% company match Paid holidays and paid time off Professional development and advancement opportunities Long‑term opportunity with a growing building automation organization Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
