Responsibilities

• Carry out supplier preselection assessments and audits
• Take part in supplier nomination process as Quality representative
• Plan, prepare and execute product and process audit reports according to applicable quality standards (VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and communicate results
• Support suppliers with the implementation of quality tools
• Identify and perform optimization measures along the supplier's product development process and control the implementation of the defined corrective measures
• Conduct and support supplier APQP
• Monitor and evaluate suppliers by means of KPIs and supplier visits as well as conducting workshops
• Execute risk assessments and establish risk mitigation strategies
• Decide on the optimization measures necessary for the verification of suppliers
• Approval of supplier audit reports
• For project phase: Manage and supervise suppliers throughout the product development process
• For serial phase: Manage and monitor suppliers after the product development process is completed
• Conduct quality planning and assurance of purchased parts and coordinate new product or process launches to ensure quality serial delivery
• In charge of quality of supplier audit results (verifies that methodology to audit supplier was performed correctly – audit results should reflect real quality situation at supplier side)
• Report and communicate quality measures in form of defined KPIs to senior level team members
• Support the selection of suppliers for new products or markets
• Carry out regular supplier performance reviews and define corrective actions to address performance issues should they occur

Requirements

• Completed study in the field of engineering or comparable education
• Experience with the requirements of quality standards (VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
• Highly developed people management skills
• Professional communication skills
• Fluent in English
• High problem solving capabilities
• Willingness to travel
