Fiber Technician - Franklin, IN

Location: Franklin, IN, USA Metronet is hiring a Fiber Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service high‑speed internet, phone, and TV connections for residential and business customers. The role involves performing basic to advanced installations, disconnects, and service changes from the fiber terminal to customer premise equipment (CPE). Responsibilities Install and troubleshoot all fiber services from terminal to CPE. Provide thorough customer education on all services and products. Earn commissions by explaining services and products to customers. Maintain professionalism with customers and colleagues. Meet key performance metrics. Other job‑related duties as requested (subject to all applicable state and federal laws). Job Qualifications & Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Experience with a telecom/fiber company. Physical ability to work from a kneeling or standing position for long periods. Comfortable working in various environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and adverse weather. Capable of climbing ladders up to 25 feet with required safety equipment. Ability to lift and carry loads up to 75 lbs, including ladders. Proficient with basic hand tools and specialized equipment. Operate and maintain company vehicle/equipment safely and professionally. Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record. Willingness to work independently and as part of a team. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Perform on‑call rotation duties after regular business hours. Available for overtime, holidays, weekends, and travel for training or other needs. Benefits 80% of medical premiums paid by the company.
