The RN is responsible for the prevention of illness and injury. The RN alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. The RN advocates for the care of individuals and families. The RN is accountable for compliance to all standards of practice. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care. The RN serves as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse based on unit assignments. The RN educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management. The RN utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology to safely administer medications. The RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resources utilization. The RN complies with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. The RN actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model. The RN engages in professional development and completes all mandatory education requirements. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. The RN provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. The RN will perform other duties as assigned. The RN will follow all organizational values.
