Immediate opportunities are available for highly qualified Paraprofessionals in elementary schools throughout the Anoka-Hennepin area near Osseo, MN! Engage directly with students to support their educational goals in a dynamic classroom setting while working alongside dedicated educators and staff. This contract role offers the chance to gain valuable experience while building relationships with students, families, and your colleagues.
Openings exist across multiple elementary locations, with caseload and team adjustments possible based on your preference and site availability. Select your preferred school when applying to ensure an optimal match for your strengths and interests.
Qualifications:
- Must be “Highly Qualified” as defined by one of the following:
- Passing score on the MN Para Educator Exam (submit test results)
- At least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; diploma is not sufficient)
- Previous experience supporting students in school or childcare environments preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Organized, dependable, and adaptable in fast-paced settings
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom management and educational activities
- Support students individually or in small groups, adapting instruction for diverse needs
- Aid in documentation, progress tracking, and behavior redirection
- Promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom for all students
- Work cohesively with other staff and families as part of the school community
This contract position requires 32.5 hours per week (M–F), with the initial contract period leading directly to eligibility for direct district hire after 422 hours. The pay for this role is $20 per hour.
