About the Role A&D Industrial & Marine Repair is looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Port Reading, NJ. This is a hands-on role where your precision craftsmanship and machining expertise will be put to work in a dynamic industrial environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate manual machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications Fabricate, repair, and modify metal parts and components for industrial and marine applications Measure and inspect finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on manual machinery to ensure optimal performance Collaborate with shop supervisors and technicians to meet project deadlines and quality standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with shop safety protocols Requirements Proven experience as a Manual Machinist in an industrial, marine, or heavy equipment environment Proficiency operating manual lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Strong knowledge of metals, tolerances, and machining techniques Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment About Us A&D Industrial & Marine Repair has built a strong reputation in the Port Reading, NJ area as a trusted provider of industrial and marine repair and fabrication services.
