Endoscopy - GI Technician Medical Assistant

Pay From: $19 per hour


MUST:
Experienced Endoscopy Technician, Medical Assistant or Procedure Assistant
2+ year of experience in an endoscopy setting or surgical setting
Experience assisting with medical office procedures, surgical procedures or GI procedures
Providing patient care
Experience turning over and preparing procedure rooms
Maintaining and ordering inventory and supplies for procedures
Reprocessing and cleaning equipment and instruments
EMR Documentation
Knowledge of aseptic technique
HS diploma


DUTIES:
ssist providers with endoscopy procedures
nticipate the needs of the provider during procedures
Provide patient care
Ensure all instruments and supplies are ready prior to procedures
Stock, clean and ready procedure rooms
ssist with monitoring patients and alert clinical staff of any change in status
ssist with specimen retrieval
Label medications and specimens
Clean and reprocess scopes and equipment
ssist with room turn-over and clean up including changing linens, and trash removal
Demonstrate principles of aseptic techniques
