Production Technician II

Job DescriptionThe Production Assembly Technician II is a technically proficient and dedicated role integral to our team's success. This role is paramount to our production operations, focusing on the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of customized point-of-sale (POS) systems. As part of our team, you will be responsible for building new POS terminals, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.In this role, the technician will handle all functions from the initial assembly of electromechanical components to wiring complex cable assemblies, as well as programming and configuring systems with the appropriate software programs. The technician also performs detailed testing and calibration of electrical components to ensure proper functionality. For returns and repairs, the technician will diagnose issues, carry out repairs, and ensure that all systems are fully operational before they are shipped back to the customer.Additionally, the technician manages the packaging and shipment of newly constructed POS terminals as well as the shipment of replacement parts, while also maintaining accurate inventory records of incoming and returned components. This role is a key player in maintaining the organization of our stockroom, ensuring that parts and components are readily available for production and repair workflows.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Assembly and prep of customized computer componentsWiring of various cable assembliesTesting and/or calibration of parts and assemblies, both electrical and mechanicalService, troubleshoot, and repair work on electro-mechanical assemblies and circuit boards, both new production builds and RMA returns, and diagnostic workPackaging and shipping of component assemblies and fully built POS terminal systemsSupport effective inventory management, including receiving, organizing, and distributing materials to ensure efficient workflow and pulling inventory based on bill of materials (BOM) requirementsReceiving and proper check-in of returned componentsGeneral stock room maintenanceProgramming of PROM devicesLoading and configuring Windows OS onto OEM self-serve systemsQualificationsMinimum Education and/or Experience:Two+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience in a dynamic production environmentHigh School DiplomaNote: Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors, including, without limitation, skill sets, education, shift worked, responsibilities, seniority, geographical market, merit, output, productivity, prior training or experience, and travel.
