Summary

This position provides administrative and operational support across the Business Lending Department, including loan origination, servicing, portfolio management, and collections. The role coordinates new borrower account opening and loan funding, ensures accurate payment processing and loan documentation, and works closely with internal departments to facilitate payoffs, modifications, lien releases, and other servicing activities. It also maintains accurate records, supports compliance and recording requirements, and assists with annual loan reviews and property tax monitoring.

Essential Functions

• Facilitate account opening and funding for new borrowers, including receipt and verification of inbound funds, appraisal fees, and required membership deposits, and verify proper membership establishment prior to loan funding.
• Verify and communicate wire instructions and transmittal information to the Accounting Department to support timely and accurate loan closings.
• Review new loan files post-closing for accuracy and completeness, including verification that all required documents are properly executed, imaged, and filed, and ensure original documents are maintained as required.
• Process checks and fees received in connection with loan closings, accurately post payments received, and communicate payment activity to MBFS Servicing.
• Coordinate with MBFS Servicing and Originations Departments regarding payment posting, payoff and paydown letters, mortgage satisfactions, lien releases, and change in terms documentation.
• Process and ensure timely recording of lien releases, loan modifications, satisfactions, and other required documents with the appropriate counties.
• Maintain accurate loan documentation and filing records to ensure compliance with applicable internal procedures and recording requirements.
• Assist with Annual Review tracking and monitoring.
• Assist with property tax monitoring and follow-up as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Adobe applications strongly preferred.
• Credit Union experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Federal Tax Returns and financial statements preferred.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, with an expectation of 40 hours per week. This position may offer some flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement out of the Beaver office. Remote work privileges may be revoked at any time for any reason.

 

Travel

10% travel is required to various West-Aircomm branch locations on occasion.
