Production Assembler

Production AssemblerPerforms assembly of all products within the Production area using specialized assembly machines.Knowledge of established SPC processes for the product being producedInterprets and performs functions per product process plans and complex engineering printsPerforms a wide variety of assembly/support on electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement systemsDetermines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly unitsTest and production machine setups performed while adhering to tolerancing stated in component/assembly drawingsBe able to demonstrate above average manual dexterity and the ability to work with very small partsTesting/R&D of Company and competitor's products and componentsSeparates non-conforming product from conforming productKnowledge of quality system documentation and the interrelation of the complete quality systemMeets the required rate of production, over 80%, for the product being producedMay be responsible for closing jobs and pulling production schedule for the teamRequisitions and communicates maintenance needs for special set-up and complicated machine adjustmentsCompliance and participation in all Smiths Connectors EHS programs, policies, procedures and training requirementsMust have basic math skillsAbility to interpret and perform assembly functionsAbility to follow detailed written or verbal instructionsAbove average manual dexterity and the ability to work with very small partsAbility to work with othersMust have good eye/hand coordinationAbility to use microscopes comparator and other measuring devicesMaintain work schedules that will meet customer requirementsAdapt to daily changes in production and meet shipping schedulesAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelinesWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
