Travel PICU RN - $2,836 per week

Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: May 25, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring active RN licensure and at least one year of nursing experience on a night shift schedule. Qualifications Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association are required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Level 1 trauma experience required Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Responsibilities Manage an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients, monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed Administer medications, initiate and monitor IV infusions and blood products Document patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders Collaborate with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Communicate care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including discharge planning Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate Initiate compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical documentation) promptly upon acceptance of an offer Travelers who have previously worked at this health system must complete a 6‑month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (following a maximum of 26 weeks of total placement) Additional Details Position is located in a Pediatric ICU (PICU) within a hospital setting 12‑hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) CVICU and NICU experience is preferred Level 1 trauma experience required Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
