Human Resources Assistant

Support the Human Resources team by keeping employee information organized, assisting with hiring and onboarding, and helping ensure day-to-day HR compliance. Responsibilities Communicate clearly and professionally with Epiphany staff and with personnel connected to other organizations Assist with onboarding and employee orientation to help new hires integrate smoothly Maintain accurate HRIS (Human Resources Information System) entries and manage employee records with strict confidentiality Handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining strong, effective communication Support benefits administration, including workers' compensation , health insurance , and retirement plan support Help with compliance related to employment & labor laws , OSHA regulations, and FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) plus other employment leave types Present information effectively in one-on-one conversations Requirements Associate College Degree (AA) or higher Prefer at least 2 years of HR experience or related experience/training in a clerical or administrative role Familiarity with HRIS platforms Experience with payroll systems such as Paylocity is a plus Strong organizational skills, with ability to plan and prioritize work activities and organizational events Excellent attention to detail Ability to learn and apply federal, state, and local laws and ordinances Proficiency with Outlook , Microsoft Word , and Excel , plus ability to learn additional software such as Paylocity Ability to work professionally and effectively under pressure Capacity to manage multiple projects efficiently using project management tools and data collection techniques Knowledge of recruiting strategies and experience with social media management for talent sourcing Ability to adapt quickly to change management initiatives and support strategic planning efforts Must meet agency employment conditions, including Child Abuse Index and fingerprinting clearances Technologies HRIS (Human Resources Information System) Paylocity Outlook Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Pay $29.00 - $32.00 per hour Application Questions Do you have experience processing payroll?
