ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Our State Farm agency is seeking an organized and efficient specialist to fulfill administrative duties and support insurance agents in gaining and keeping customers. As a Intern - State Farm Agent Team Member with our agency, your attention to detail, dedication to customer relations, and sales-mindedness equip you for this versatile position. As an intern, you will obtain your Property/Casualty insurance license and work alongside our team learning how to consult with customers, identify coverage needs, and help individuals and families protect what matters most. This is a full-time summer role with the option to continue part-time during the school year for interns who perform well and want to stay involved.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn the fundamentals of insurance, risk protection, and customer needs analysis
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
• Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
• Use exemplary communication to efficiently meet the needs of customers while promoting the development of our business.
• Assist the sales team with quoting policies and preparing proposals
• Participate in sales training, mentorship, and team meetings
• Work towards personal sales gales while contributing to overall team performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• To be eligible for an internship, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program throughout the duration of the internship.
• Coursework or expressed interest in areas such as Insurance, Financial Services, Real Estate, Marketing, etc.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as operate independently

COMPENSATION:

• Base pay of $15 per hour plus commission
• Top-performing interns typically earn $25-$30 per hour after commission and bonuses
