Exciting opportunity for a Family Medicine Residency Faculty position at our main campus in Florence, South Carolina!

We are a nonprofit healthcare organization operating seven hospitals across South Carolina, and we are in search of a Family Medicine Residency Faculty Physician. Our commitment lies in enhancing the health of individuals within our 18-county referral area, serving over 1 million patients.

Our esteemed, unopposed residency program provides community-focused training within a 517-bed regional referral medical center, which includes a NICU, labor and delivery unit, and an open ICU.

With a flexible program structure, we offer opportunities to explore a wide range of special interests such as evidence-based medicine, quality improvement, care for underserved populations, hospital medicine, critical care, procedures, geriatrics, obstetrics, women's health, pediatrics, and physician leadership. We are looking for a passionate Physician who is enthusiastic about teaching comprehensive family medicine. There are also opportunities for leadership and professional development.

• The faculty role encompasses: Teaching and supervising residents in both outpatient and inpatient environments, providing direct patient care at the Family Medicine Center, engaging in didactic teaching, developing curriculum, mentoring residents, and participating in scholarly activities. Faculty members are allocated protected administrative time each week.

• While prior residency leadership experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.

• Faculty members will lead the inpatient teaching service for one week each month, with a rotating weekend call schedule alongside our faculty and community physicians. Outpatient hours are from 8:15 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, in a busy clinic that includes embedded procedures, OMT, and an OB clinic.

• Maternity and prenatal care are optional.
