Outside Sales Representative - Natural Gas Tooling Location: Houston, TX Territory: Greater Houston Area Compensation: Base Salary + Uncapped Commission, Company Vehicle, Laptop, iPhone Travel: Approximately 50% Why This Role? What You'll Do Develop and grow relationships with natural gas contractors, utility companies, municipalities, and infrastructure service providers throughout the territory. Maintain and expand an existing customer base while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Sell a broad portfolio of natural gas tooling, equipment, and solutions through a consultative sales approach. Conduct jobsite visits, customer meetings, product demonstrations, and training sessions. Understand customer operations and recommend equipment that improves safety, efficiency, and productivity. Generate and manage sales opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through closing. Prepare quotes, proposals, and product recommendations while coordinating with internal customer service and operations teams. Track customer activity, opportunities, and forecasts within the company CRM system. Attend industry events, contractor meetings, trade shows, and networking functions to strengthen market presence. Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and competitor activities. Support new product introductions and help drive customer adoption of innovative solutions. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of outside sales experience. Experience selling to contractors, utilities, municipalities, construction companies, or industrial customers preferred. Prior experience in the natural gas, utility, underground infrastructure, construction equipment, tooling, or industrial distribution industries is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and generate new business. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities. Comfortable working independently and managing a territory. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel. What We Offer Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission opportunity.
