Cath Lab Technologist

Providing specialized technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, the Cath Lab Technologist assists with diagnostic and interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety and optimal lab operation. This role requires skilled monitoring, scrubbing, and equipment management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain catheterization lab equipment, including Philips Fluoro Systems, Mac Lab, and CardioLab for EP procedures.
• Assist cardiologists with diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures such as LHC, RHC, EP ablations, pacer and ICD placements, and cardioversions.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols according to hospital policies and unit guidelines.
• Document procedures accurately within the EMR system, such as Meditech, and ensure proper data reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain high standards of patient care and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Current verified Cath Lab Technologist experience of at least 6 months.
• ARRT (R) certification and RCIS or RCES credentials required.
• BLS certification.
• Strong scrubbing, monitoring, and procedural skills in a cardiac cath lab setting.
• Ability to obtain and apply for fluoroscopy operator registration with DORA in Colorado if applicable.
• Preferred: ARRT (CI) or (CV) certification, Meditech experience, and prior knowledge of structural heart procedures.
