Kiely team members are an elite group of behind-the-scenes professionals who embody our core values and are dedicated to making a meaningful impact.Position Summary: Kiely Family of Companies is looking for a Senior Estimator to bid cost estimates for utility projects and manage these projects through construction. This position will be responsible for project schedule preparation, costs and construction principles.Knowledge and understanding of project specifications/construction processes for heavy underground water resources and mechanical construction projectsDevelop accurate, timely, and detailed cost estimates on large, complex heavy construction projectsPrepare and analyze material/quantity take-offsReview bid documents and make note of requirements, read plans, quantities, scheduling, forecasting, and estimatingGenerate RFIs for project clarification and/or requirementsPrepare scope of work from quantity take-offs, determine productions, price out project, and complete bid/proposalWork closely with clients, contractors, and third-party providers in development of a project.Responsible for the development, execution and ongoing maintenance of the Project Management Plan for each assigned project. This includes scope, schedule, cost, quality, communication, resource, issues, risks, change control and contractor management plans. Level of detail is driven by project size and complexityPrepare bid proposals and SOW’s for submittal and follow–up.Expedite execution and return of contracts and agreementsEstablishing and setting priorities according to your workload using time management and organizational skillsCompetenciesAbility to read the construction bid process, interpret drawings, specifications, project date and commercial termAbility to use HCSS Heavy bid software.Strong written and verbal communication skills, math and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of underground water resources: distribution and transmission mains, pump stations, treatment systems, and storage tanksDemonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepanciesEstimator and Project Management experience in heavy construction specifically in underground utilities: gas/water/sanitary/steam/mechanical pipingExperience with the use of bidding software; strong Excel skillsKnowledge of the utility industryUnderstanding of utility expansion projects from feasibility concept, design, construction, startup, commissioning and transfer to operationsBenefits and Compensation:Position offers competitive pay, benefits, paid vacation, and health/dental insurance.Full-time: $110,00-$185,000 a year based on experience and qualifications.Equal Opportunity Employer, M/F/D/VKiely Family of Companies is a growing and dynamic company actively seeking applications and resumes from exceptional candidates.
