SALARY RANGE (Clinical Therapist) $30.32 - $48.76 SALARY RANGE (Senior Mental Health Counselor) $30.32 - $42.11 Job Overview Waukesha County's Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting for a Clinical Therapist (may underfill as Senior Mental Health Counselor). This grant funded position will be working in the Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic in our Human Services Center. Responsibilities Coordinate multiple substance use treatment, prevention, and overdose prevention projects. Conduct community outreach. Provide naloxone training & distribution. Collaborate clinically with peer support services. Collaborate clinically with the Women's Health and Recovery Project (WHARP). Collect data and provide post‑overdose outreach. Prepare grant reports. Connect clients to additional services. Serve as a subject‑matter resource for clinicians. Qualifications – Clinical Therapist Master's degree in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational), counseling and guidance, social work or a closely related field. Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor in Training, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Training status as a minimum. At least two (2) years of post‑bachelor work experience in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational), counseling and guidance, social work or a closely related area. Qualifications – Senior Mental Health Counselor Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology or closely related field and two (2) years of professional experience in mental health, including 1,000 hours delivering services to the chronically mentally ill and their families. OR bachelor's degree with at least four (4) courses in sociology, social work, or psychology and three (3) years of professional experience in mental health, including 1,000 hours delivering services to the chronically mentally ill and their families. OR master's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, or closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
