Summary

Responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of robotic welding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective welding
• Regularly clean and inspect welding equipment and tools
• Tests the strength of each joint during and after part completion
• Report shift production accurately
• Advise supervisor or robotic tech shortages or poor-quality materials/products

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or a combination of education and experience
• 1 year experience as a welder or similar role
• Experience with steel fabrication preferred

Knowledge, Skills/Abilities

• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of machines and tools used in welding
• Knowledge of safety standards
