Family Services Specialist I/IIThis position is located in Ardmore, Oklahoma.Annual Salary:Level I H14A: $37,440.00 + Full State Employee BenefitsLevel II H14B: $40,248.00 + Full State Employee BenefitsTravel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.Must attend mandatory in-office training, including JumpSTARt Training located at a regional training facility. (Travel and lodging paid).Minimum Qualifications:Level I:Education and experience requirements consist of two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for each year of the required experience.Level II:Education and experience requirements consist of a bachelor's degree; OR an associate's degree plus two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of experience in professional business, public sector, or social work environment for each year of the bachelor's degree. OR two (2) years of experience as a Family Services Specialist.Job Responsibilities:Manages a caseload and provides services for individuals and their families.Evaluates the needs of individuals and families and makes referrals to community resources.Assesses the needs of individuals and determines eligibility for specific programs.Interviews clients by phone or in an office setting.Compiles data, completes documentation, and enters data electronically to determine eligibility.Participates in individual and staff conferences and committee work as assigned.Must attend all mandatory training associated with the position.Establish, engage, and grow positive and effective community partnerships with interested members of the public, service providers, and vendors in a supportive and teamwork-oriented professional manner; work effectively with partners to serve shared customers while maintaining confidentiality.
