Title LPN OTP Medication Room Nurse Location Columbus South location at 100 Highview Blvd. Columbus, Ohio 43207 Overview Sunrise Treatment Center is an outpatient opiate addiction treatment facility. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional for a structured, lower-volume nursing role where you would prepare and dispense buprenorphine and methadone medication from our on-site dispensary. Our ideal candidate would prioritize patient safety, accuracy, and consistency. This position offers a predictable pace, meaningful exposure to regulatory standards, and is ideal for nurses interested in compliance-focused practice while focusing on quality of care without high patient volume demands. This role offers significant hands‑on exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements, including medication handling, documentation standards, audits, and policy adherence. This role requires a dependable nurse who has excellent computer skills and relevant field experience, looking to take on a more sedentary role away from floor nursing. Please note that this position will mostly require you to work as a solitary nurse within the medication room. Schedule Day shift hours * Two-hour Saturday morning rotation * Closed Sundays and holidays * Additional pay added for nursing experience and SUD experience * Summary/Objective Provide excellent patient care to our clients while adhering to the proper procedures and processes as outlined below. This nursing position allows for a much-sought-after work/life balance and is largely administrative, consisting mostly of pharmacy-type work with minimal standing. Essential Functions Record client information, generate reports, and dispense buprenorphine using multiple computerized systems. Remain current with changes in policies and procedures. Attend and participate in relevant continuing education and in-service training to improve professional competency. Adhere to DEA and Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Provide emergency first aid to clients. Preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medication. Drawing labs. Preparing and/or administering injections. Maintain accurate inventory of all facility medications. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, pill counters, calculators, printers, scanners, and photocopiers. Physical Demands The physical demands described here represent those that must be met to successfully perform this job. While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to type, handle, feel, and reach. This is largely a sedentary role; some filing is required. The position requires the ability to lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. Tuesday and Thursday: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm. Saturday: 8:00 am – 10:00 am (every other week). Travel Additional travel to other Sunrise Treatment Center locations may be offered in case of staffing shortages. Additional pay for travel and mileage reimbursement would be given for other locations not listed in this job description. Required Education And Experience Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), CPR and first aid certification. Must be in good standing with Ohio Medicaid billing practices. Must pass an FBI background check and fingerprinting prior to start date. Preferred Education And Experience Experience dispensing medication in a medication-assisted treatment program or pharmacy experience.
