Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical with Telemetry in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves providing patient care in a busy medical-surgical unit with telemetry, supporting patients with diagnoses such as stroke, seizure, AMS, generalized weakness, AKI/CKD, falls, cellulitis, and non-healing wounds. The role requires adapting to a fast-paced environment, floating within the region as needed, and utilizing electronic medical records with EPIC systems. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, NIHSS certification, 18 months of medical-surgical telemetry experience, EPIC experience required, located at least 50 miles outside the home address. Preferred Qualifications: Acute care medical-surgical experience, proficiency with cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (such as Cardizem or Amiodarone). Float: Float within region and scope of practice to facilities within Region 2 (Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division). Floating mid-shift will be paid for travel time between facilities. Support within Department: CNA support (ratios 1:12), charge nurse, nurse educator, hospitalist available 24/7, APP support, no remote telemonitoring, and a case management team. Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR, Alaris infusion pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing systems, Phillips monitors. Orientation: Two days of departmental orientation at the facility. Other Notes: Scrub color for RN is navy blue, parking is free, and the unit fosters a family-oriented culture.
