Human Resources Assistant

Summary: The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:00AM-6:00PM.
Salary: $24.35 per hour, increasing to $25.85 within 6 months.
Responsibilities:
- General administrative tasks and provide clerical support to the Human Resources department in Dewitt.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files and records.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Assist in the screening of applicants and scheduling of interviews.
- Assist with payroll functions including timecards, answering employee questions, and fixing timecard errors.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of office experience; prior HR experience preferred.
- Ability to meet business needs that may require availability between the hours of 7am and 8:30 pm with advanced notice whenever possible.
