People Operations Specialist

Our client, a software application company in San Francisco, CA is seeking a People Operations Specialist for an initial 3-month contract with an opportunity for extention and conversion. This position pays between: $35-$46/hr. Hybrid - 3 days onsite (Mon, Tue and Fri) 2 days remote This is a hands-on role for someone who's built a solid foundation in People operations and is ready to take on more ownership of day-to-day programs and processes. You'll keep our HR systems accurate, run day-to-day People Ops support, help us through an upcoming HRIS migration, and look for ways to make the process a little better each time. Responsibilities: Employee Lifecycle & Systems Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS (Rippling, HiBob, or similar preferred), including changes, terminations, and resolving discrepancies or manual entry errors Drive our onboarding process and support offboarding, partnering with IT, Payroll, and managers to ensure a smooth experience for every employee Make sure every new hire feels welcomed and set up for success from day one, not just processed Support HR system audits, data cleanup, and troubleshooting Partner with our systems team to help define the right workflows for our HRIS migration, and support data validation, testing, and troubleshooting as we transition to the new system Service & Support Monitor and manage the People Ops Jira queue, ensuring timely, high-quality responses and resolution Keep Notion pages current with flyers, process info, and documentation Spot recurring issues and flag opportunities for automation or simplification Compliance & Confidentiality Maintain confidential employee files in line with data security standards Support policy audits and documentation reviews with accuracy and follow-through Requirements: 3+ years of experience in HR operations or HRIS administration Hands-on experience with Rippling, HiBob, or a comparable HRIS strongly preferred Experience supporting an HRIS implementation or migration a plus Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel for data tracking and reporting Comfortable managing Jira or a similar ticketing system Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) #J-18808-Ljbffr
