About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ER Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ER setting License: Current RN license in Indiana Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years experience in an ER setting - BLS (AHA only) - ACLS (AHA only) - PALS (AHA only) - TNCC - EPIC charting experience Description: The Emergency Department provides emergency care nursing. It treats a variety of medical complaints and some trauma. The unit sees an average of 165 patients per day. The nursing staff includes a mix of newer nurses and experienced professionals. A collaborative team approach in nursing and patient care is emphasized. Strong working relationships exist among all nursing staff and physicians. The department is equipped with an enclosed behavioral health unit. Staff is trained in mental health care to facilitate the treatment of patients. The work environment fosters teamwork and camaraderie among all staff members. The facility is undergoing renovations to enhance services and support growth. Nurse to patient ratio in the unit is 1:4. Scrubs in Caribbean Blue are the required dress code.
