A large hospital in Delaware is seeking a locum tenens Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Physician Associate for inpatient coverage. The facility supports a team that includes 3 nurse practitioners and 4 physicians dedicated to advanced heart failure and LVAD patient care. The hospital provides on-site, inpatient services for an adult population requiring specialized cardiac management. This is an ongoing assignment with an immediate start date.

Delaware offers a range of cultural and historical attractions across the state. Clinicians on assignment may explore outdoor recreation, regional museums, and seasonal events within a reasonable distance. A variety of activities are available throughout the year, spanning arts, music, and community festivals. Resources are available to support trip planning during time away from the facility.

This locum tenens position involves inpatient rounding and consults at a large hospital in Delaware, serving an adult patient population. The clinician will provide coverage across day shifts, 24-hour shifts, and call shifts, with LVAD call responsibilities on weeknights and weekends. A caseload of 7-8 patients per day plus 1 consult is expected. Candidates must possess heart failure and LVAD experience to be considered for this assignment. Board certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology is required. The supporting team includes 3 nurse practitioners and 4 physicians dedicated to advanced heart failure and LVAD patient care.
