Overview Pediatric MRI Technologist travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: 08/10/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,400-$2,515 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 8-hour shifts, typically Mon-Fri 1:00 pm-9:30 pm with some flexibility; on-call: none. This is a hospital-based imaging assignment requiring pediatric imaging experience in a travel setting. Responsibilities Operate MRI equipment (Siemens) to image pediatric patients from neonates through age 18, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images Prepare patients for scans, explain the procedure to help reduce anxiety, and provide age-appropriate care Screen patients for safety, identify contraindications, and adjust scanning parameters to accommodate various pediatric ages Coordinate with physicians to ensure timely delivery of diagnostic images and document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality Maintain a clean, safe scanning environment and adhere to MRI safety policies and guidelines Monitor scanning progress and determine when to stop a scan due to motion; recognize when sedation/anesthesia may be needed and escalate appropriately Requirements ARRT certification (or eligible) and New York State Radiologic Technologist license; license must be obtained prior to start if not currently held BLS certification from the American Heart Association Siemens MRI scanner experience Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience Pediatric imaging experience (at least 6 months) with neonates through age 18 Level 1 Trauma Center experience Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated assignment support throughout the engagement Fast credentialing assistance to help you start timely Nationwide travel opportunities and ongoing employer guidance Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
