Estate Planning Paralegal

Job Description New Opportunity for 2026!! Our boutique law firm is seeking an Estate Planning Paralegal to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. Responsibilities: Draft basic estate planning documents using EP software (Wealth Counsel and Interactive Legal Services (ILS) helpful, but not required), Execute complex estate planning for wealthy clients (including irrevocable trusts) and federal estate tax and federal gift tax matters. Successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of estate planning functions, such as assisting/advising clients of asset protection, power of attorney, business transfer and succession planning, probate and estate administration, corporate law and business counsel. Prepare accountings in accordance with Michigan Uniform Principal & Income Act Responsible for probate court filings and notice requirements Prepare federal estate tax returns, including assisting clients in obtaining necessary information and documentation, organization and assembly of supporting documentation for returns and filing of returns and supporting documentation with the Internal Revenue Service Qualifications: Possess 3-5 years of experience in Estates, Wills, Trusts; Strong knowledge with wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives and excellent communication skills are needed Effective legal research skills Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
