Financial Analyst

Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid 4 days a week) Duration: PERM Start Date: ASAP Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 ($5,000-$8,000 bonus) Must-Haves 3–5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience Hands-on experience with month-end close and reconciliations Strong financial analysis and reporting skills Experience across both P&L and capital (CapEx/project) finance Intermediate to advanced Excel (pivot tables, reporting) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Plusses Oracle Financial Systems experience (strongly preferred) SAP or similar ERP systems acceptable Hyperion (forecasting) and BlackLine (reconciliations) exposure (not mandatory) CPA, CA, or Master’s degree (preferred, not required) Day to Day This person will be responsible for managing the financial performance of the IT organization by tracking budgets, expenses, forecasts, and actual results. On a daily basis, they will analyze financial data, compare forecasted spending against budgets and prior periods, and provide insight into any variances or trends. They will work heavily in Excel, building and maintaining financial models, reports, and dashboards that help leadership make informed decisions around both operating expenses (OpEx) and capital expenditures (CapEx). The role also supports capital planning activities by reviewing project funding requests, monitoring approved capital investments, tracking fixed assets, and ensuring spending complies with company financial policies. During month-end close, they will manage accruals, reconciliations, depreciation tracking, and reporting while partnering with Accounts Payable, Procurement, and business stakeholders to ensure expenses are recorded accurately. A large portion of the job involves collaborating with IT, Operations, Project Managers, and Finance leadership to analyze vendor costs, support strategic initiatives, identify financial risks and opportunities, and provide executive-level reporting. They will also look for ways to automate recurring financial processes and reporting, improving efficiency and accuracy across the organization.
