Electronics Technician 4 – New York We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems. Performing preventive maintenance requirements. Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory. Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision. Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and Safety Audits. Installing and maintaining equipment at both the local and global level per design packages. Programming and Installation of head‑end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems. Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level. Lead the on‑site software commissioning and testing. Lead inspections, evaluations, and inventory; performing take‑off project drawings. Document and track RFIs. Design assist and feedback. Documenting daily reports and project progress. Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management. Create and manage project schedule. Integration of IDS, ACS and CCTV systems. Forecast and manage project labor hours. Guide and mentor technicians. Must be available to travel a minimum of 25%. Qualifications Clearance / Citizen Type : Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, for access to classified information. No clearance required. Key Requirements Requires a valid driver's license. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with our policy. Education HS diploma or GED with military electronics training (minimum 720 classroom hours) Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program Additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities Required Progressive Experience 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs 3 years of the above experience focused in electronic security systems Strong oral, written and presentation skills Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills is a plus Must be able to travel 50% Desired / Advantageous Qualifications Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems).
