Physical Therapist, Outpatient - Per Diem - 139353

#139353 Physical Therapist, Outpatient - Per Diem This position is responsible for Physical Therapy patient service delivery including evaluation and treatment of routine and complex patients, with neurologic and/or orthopedic diagnoses depending on clinic coverage needs. Completes required documentation and communicates patient information across the continuum of care. Participates in training and program development and represents the department to the medical and general community. Demonstrates competence in the UC San Diego Health core values. This is a per diem position that will also provide back up coverage between multiple Rehab Locations. There is potential to work both weekdays and weekends depending on candidate availability.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association, eligibility for registration by the National Registry of the American Physical Therapy Association. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Physical Therapist (PT) license issued by the state of California. Prior experience in an outpatient setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One to three (1‑3) years of experience as a licensed PT in an outpatient setting with orthopedic patient populations.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. May flex and float between sites as needed. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.

PAY INFORMATION

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $134,488 - $149,125 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $64.41 - $71.42

Must be able to comply with our Policy on Vaccination Programs. If applicable, life‑support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands‑on practice and in‑person skills assessment; online‑only certification is not acceptable.
