Intelligence Engineer, Senior Manager

Role Overview As a Senior Manager, Engineering, you will provide technical leadership to your teams, designing and architecting solutions that enable seamless integration with current and future partners. You will guide a team of 6‑10 engineers through the full software development lifecycle, from research and prototyping to deployment and operations, while driving the IAS mission of helping advertisers understand the quality of the ad data they purchase. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor engineering teams, acting as a player‑coach to review designs, break down hard problems, and set technical direction. Own the business and organizational strategy for your domain, balancing what to build and what not to build to deliver measurable business outcomes. Collaborate across teams to ensure AI‑augmented work streams produce cohesive results. Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate product requirements into actionable engineering roadmaps. Elevate team performance by coaching on technical best practices and driving order‑of‑magnitude impact. Manage tooling, infrastructure, and budget decisions, including consumption‑based pricing for new tools. Oversee hiring, performance, and retention to build and maintain a high‑performing team. Qualifications BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related STEM field. 8+ years of hands‑on software development experience, with at least 5 years leading high‑performing engineering teams. Deep, hands‑on experience building and deploying AI and machine‑learning systems at scale. Proven ability to partner effectively with Product and business stakeholders. Expertise in system design and architecture for scalable, production‑grade AI services. Excellent communication skills and a track record of delivering complex technical projects on time. Experience leading teams in a fast‑paced, agile environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with MLOps, including CI/CD for machine learning, model monitoring, and data pipelines. A history of contributing to the AI community (e.g., open‑source projects, publications, conference presentations). Location & Compensation Primary Location: US – New York, NY. Additional Locations (Dublin, Ireland; Chicago, IL; San Francisco, CA) – Annual salary range: $126,000.00 – $216,000.00 USD.
