Sr. HR Generalist
$40 - $48 per hourSoni Resources
The Senior HR Generalist supports key HR functions with a focus on employee relations, leave administration (including FMLA), talent acquisition, compliance, and HR operations. This role partners with managers and employees to ensure consistent application of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices while supporting organizational goals through effective recruiting and employee support.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional with experience in employee relations, leave management, and full-cycle recruiting who can manage sensitive matters with professionalism and sound judgment. Key Responsibilities- Serve as an HR resource for employees and managers on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Advise managers on disciplinary actions, investigations, and documentation.
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend resolutions.
- Support employee engagement, retention, and performance management initiatives.
- Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability, workers' compensation, and other leave programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws.
- Coordinate leave requests, documentation, and return-to-work processes with employees, managers, and third-party administrators.
- Track leave eligibility, notifications, and required documentation.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies and fill staffing needs.
- Source candidates, conduct interviews, coordinate hiring, and support onboarding.
- Maintain talent pipelines to support workforce planning.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Assist with policy updates, benefits administration, and employee communications.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 5+ years of HR experience, including employee relations, leave administration, and recruiting.
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC regulations, and employment laws.
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting across multiple departments and job levels.
- Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
- Experience with benefits administration and leave management systems.
- Strong investigative and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in multi-site or industry-specific environments preferred.
