Social Worker

Pediatric Social Work Job Summary: Provides psychosocial assessment and brief targeted intervention for social, emotional and environmental issues that impact client/family's ability to optimally benefit from care. Actively collaborates with the care team to meet patient care management and system improvement goals. Represents the Social Work department on institutional and community committees/task forces and provides leadership for department committees/workgroups. Contributes to the plan of care with knowledge of population‑specific needs as it relates to identifying patient psychosocial needs. Work Schedule: One week: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday; Second week: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Hours: 7:30a.m.–8:00p.m., three 12‑hour shifts. No on‑call requirement. LMSW or LCSW not required. MS‑level graduates may be hired with a condition of obtaining licensure within 6months. Key Responsibilities Maintain professional documentation that meets department and VUMC compliance standards. Provide brief targeted interventions for identified clients. Complete psychosocial assessment and assist team with the development of the plan of care. Provide education and/or consultation to clients and families, treatment team, and community. Participate in process‑improvement initiatives and shared decision‑making. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Position Qualifications Licensed Master Social Worker (LIC) in Tennessee. Relevant work experience; experience level less than 1 year. Master’s degree required. MS‑level graduates must obtain licensure within 6months. Technical Capabilities Risk Management (Novice): Proficiency in risk analysis and contingency planning.
