Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Multiple shifts available Hours per Shift: 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Valid RN license Certifications: Relevant certifications required Must-Have: Candidate must be available for any shift and hours, as they can change as needed. Candidate must be available all days of the week and will be working 40 hours per week. Primarily looking for candidates for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Candidates must have no upcoming scheduling issues such as vacations, appointments, or school. Candidates must arrive on the floor ready to work at the start of their scheduled shifts. Description: Provides professional nursing care to individuals in a correctional facility. Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients. Makes nursing rounds and takes and records vital signs. Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatment plans. Monitors patients requiring close supervision and provides immediate medical attention in emergencies. May be responsible for scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work of lower-level staff. Participates in staff development and education. Reviews and trains new employees. Responsible for health care of patients, making rounds, evaluating care needed and rendered. Teaches health care principles and administers medication. Renders direct nursing care as needed, performing specialized procedures such as dialysis and CPR. Organizes and oversees emergency response teams as required. Acts as lead worker in charge of the assigned area.
