Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, on-site contract role runs from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. There is a strong likelihood interviews will take place next week, following anticipated budget approval.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Eligible to interpret in an educational environment
• One of the following:
  • EIPA level 3 or higher
  • RID: NIC, NAD, or an Educational Certification (K-12 or OTC)
• Commitment to complete district-specific onboarding and credentialing, including a two-part process resulting in badge issuance
• Ability to follow timelines and submit required documents (data form, procedural agreement, timesheets, etc.)
• Experience with 1:1 student interpreting in K-12 settings preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate, student-centered interpretation and translation services
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere within classrooms and school activities
• Collaborate closely with teaching and support staff to ensure effective communication
• Maintain professional documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
• Support the student’s social, emotional, and academic growth
