Schedule: Full-time
Wage: $75000 - $90000 per year
Location: Position will be based in Cortland and support Broome Chenango Cortland Madison and Tioga Counties

Job Description

The Senior Director of Employment and Vocational Services provides strategic and administrative leadership for ACHIEVEs employment and vocational programs including ACCES-VR OPWDD Community Pre-Vocational Services and Supported Employment services.

• Provide administrative oversight of employment and vocational services ensuring compliance with OPWDD ACCES-VR OMIG Medicaid and other State and Federal regulations
• Lead program operations including service planning documentation billing and quality assurance activities
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Employment and Self Direction on strategic planning program development budgeting and operational initiatives
• Monitor program performance and implement corrective action plans as necessary
• Supervise program coordinators and department staff
• Oversee recruitment onboarding evaluations and staffing decisions
• Review and approve staff time sheets leave requests and overtime usage
• Conduct documentation and billing audits
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners and employers
• Represent ACHIEVE on community boards and committees
• Develop and facilitate staff training opportunities
• Attend required meetings and trainings
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or another Human Services field and three (3) years of administrative or supervisory experience OR Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field and five (5) years of administrative or supervisory experience including vocational/employment services experience
• Strong knowledge of OPWDD services and compliance requirements
• Supervisory and/or program management experience
• Valid drivers license meeting agency insurance requirements
