Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

Night shift: 3x12-Hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Job Description

The Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and intervention. The nurse will float to like units when necessary and will play a vital role in monitoring patients' cardiac health, administering medications, and following established protocols for various cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' conditions through telemetry equipment, assessing vital signs and reporting significant changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding cardiac health and care management.
• Participate in emergency care situations and perform necessary interventions for patients in cardiopulmonary distress.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Jersey or Compact RN License required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of cardiac telemetry experience.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system preferred.
