Key Responsibilities of the Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

• Continuously monitor patient's cardiovascular status using telemetry or other devices
• Administer prescribed cardiac medications and manage adverse reactions
• Provide post-surgical care and assist in managing post-operative pain
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and medications
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement comprehensive care plans
• Respond to emergent situations, providing CPR or defibrillation as needed
• Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections

Requirements of the Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

• Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• Minimum of 3 years RN experience, including Med Surg
• Minimum of 1 year travel nursing experience
