Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Scrum Master / Team Leader on behalf of our client in Washington, DC . We are looking for an experienced Agile professional to support multiple teams, strengthen Agile maturity, and drive effective team collaboration and delivery.

The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with strong experience coaching Agile teams, removing impediments, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, resolving conflicts, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a servant leader for Agile teams and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.

• Coach teams toward self-organization, accountability, and high performance.

• Identify, remove, and escalate team-level and organizational impediments.

• Facilitate retrospectives and drive actionable continuous-improvement initiatives.

• Address team conflicts, dysfunctions, and resistance to Agile practices.

• Promote psychological safety, collaboration, and effective communication.

• Shield teams from external disruptions and maintain focus on delivery goals.

• Partner with Product Owners, Agile Coaches, and program leadership to support effective Agile execution.

• Work within established Agile standards and organizational frameworks.

• Drive measurable improvements in team delivery, predictability, and Agile maturity.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master supporting multiple Agile teams.

• Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations.

• CSM or PSM II (or higher) certification required.

• Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles.

• Demonstrated experience building self-organizing and high-performing teams.

• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience removing impediments and managing escalations.

• Proven ability to guide teams through Agile adoption and cultural change.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting government or highly regulated organizations.

• CSP, SAFe Scrum Master, or other advanced Agile certification.

• Experience navigating organizational resistance to Agile transformation.

• Demonstrated success improving team velocity, predictability, and delivery outcomes.

• Experience working within established Agile playbooks and governance frameworks.

Interview Process

Selected candidates will participate in an initial screening followed by additional interviews as applicable.

Interviewing begins Friday.
