Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ER Observation unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the ER Observation unit of a hospital setting
• Care for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Trauma and travel experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Additional Information

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed, including administering medications and initiating IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families and provide discharge education
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no start date flexibility
