School Bus Driver

Job Overview No CDL? No problem. We provide paid training to get you ready to drive school buses. If you already hold a fully licensed CDL Driver (A or B) with P & S endorsements, you can earn a $5,000 sign‑on bonus effective March 6, 2026. The pay rate is $30.39–$36.05 per hour (effective August 24, 2026) with paid training at $20 per hour. Charter/Activity trips earn $27 per hour. This is a part‑time, split‑shift position (AM/PM) on weekdays only, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. You receive weekly pay plus a guaranteed minimum of hours. Responsibilities Safely transport students to and from school and events Drive assigned local routes Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections Maintain a clean, safe vehicle Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies Requirements CDL Class B (or higher) with P & S endorsements (or willingness to obtain one through training) Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one Safe driving record Age 21 or older with at least 3 years of driving experience Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written) Ideal Candidates Retirees & former professionals who want purpose over a 9‑to‑5 schedule Veterans who value safety and discipline in a community‑service role Active community members from healthcare, hospitality, and other fields who value respect and service Benefits Paid CDL training – no experience required Attendance and referral bonus programs Consistent hours and pay Opportunities for extra hours (charter & activity trips) Part‑time benefits package, including dental, vision, 401(k) and more Supportive, safety‑first work environment Location Methuen, MA – 55 Hampshire Road.
