Regional Trauma Sales Representative - Central/MidAtlantic Regions

Regional Trauma Sales Representative Location: This person can be located in any of the states listed here: Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, or Maryland. What You Will Do Provide support for territory leave of absence as directed by manager. Support and sustain coverage in territory. Foster and maintain existing relationships with surgeons in territory. Uphold team culture and build strong relationships with Sales Manager and teammates through daily communication and act as a team player. Represent Stryker as a leader in our industry and the marketplace by promoting our products to a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals. Provide excellent customer service to territory customer accounts, including information on proper use and maintenance of Stryker products, product functionality and updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs. When not covering a leave of absence, provide: Territory coverage for Level 1 conversions. Support for Teaching Institutions. Overall territory support within region. Support Trauma Sales Education initiatives. On‑site support and training for Sales Enablement 201 training. Support Regional Events, including sales representative training, assisting field sales trainers, and associate trainer activities. Travel up to 80–90%. Serve as the primary backup contact support for territory for Sales Representatives and Associates, as requested. Complete Sales Representative training program, consisting of Employee Orientation, Center Training, Product Knowledge and Field Territory Training. Attend surgeries in which Stryker Trauma products are used, ensuring all products are available for surgeon use and instructing surgeons regarding product use and functionality. Work with sales teams to deliver excellent customer service and further develop and support the customer relationships. Identify the needs of new prospects and, in conjunction with the Sales Representative, develop appropriate responses. Learn features and benefits of new products and be able to use additional products as they become available. Implement sales plans and marketing strategies to competitively position the organization. Assist the Sales Representative in meeting and exceeding business targets (quotas). Support the sales organization indirectly by providing exceptional customer service and account support, ensuring continuity of service while Sales Representatives travel to cover territories impacted by medical leaves or other coverage gaps. Coordinate with manager and sales teams to assist in participating with on‑call case coverage needs. Acquire a basic understanding of the sales requirements, including regulatory compliance issues. Consistently comply with business principles (including AdvaMed): maintain privacy and confidentiality, protect the organization’s assets, act with ethics and integrity, report non‑compliance, and adhere to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements, and Company’s policies and procedures. Assist in account problem resolution. Maintain training in sales skills and products. When necessary, market the product line to customers based on knowledge of functionality, features, and factors that differentiate Stryker products from competitors. Maintain knowledge of the industry, customers, and competitive trends. Participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required. What You Need 4+ years’ experience in a clinical healthcare or sales role/sales support role (or a combination of the two). Trauma/Ortho Sales environment preferred. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Experience in building and maintaining relationships (with surgeons & hospitals in respective areas would be beneficial). Excellent organizational skills and knowledge in the use of current office technologies (MS Office suite, databases, etc.). Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments. This role is 100% commission and is eligible for bonuses and benefits.
