Position Overview:

If you have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and a vision for impactful visual communication, you're the creative powerhouse we’re looking for.

As a Senior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the look and feel of our brand across all touchpoints. You will lead the creation of compelling designs that resonate with our audience and drive our branding and marketing efforts. Your expertise in conceptual thinking, strategic problem solving, digital design, acquisition advertising and branding will be crucial in enhancing our customer engagement and satisfaction.

This is not exclusively an essential onsite role, though may require some onsite attendance.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptual thinking: Lead the development of creative concepts and campaigns that resonate with our audience. Bring fresh ideas to the table and transform them into compelling visual narratives

• Strategic problem solving: Leverage your strategic thinking to solve complex design challenges. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience

• Digital design: Create compelling digital designs across web and email that capture the essence of our brand and engage our subscribers. Use your expertise to craft visual solutions that not only look great, but also creates conversions

• Acquisition ads: Design eye-catching and effective acquisition ads that attract new customers and drive growth. Utilize your skills to create ad campaigns that stand out in the marketplace

• Branding: Oversee the creation and maintenance of our design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across all design projects. Enhance and establish guidelines that help maintain the integrity of our brand’s visual identity

• Collaborate with Marketing, Email, and Web teams to create cohesive and compelling user experiences

• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to keep our designs cutting-edge and relevant

• Present design concepts and lead creative reviews with key stakeholders via thoughtful presentations and incorporate feedback to achieve the best outcomes

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in design either in-house or at a creative agency

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects alongside a team of designers and writers, with excellent collaboration and communication skills

• Team player: Strong ability to take feedback and follow strategy, translating insights into effective design solutions

• Proficiency: A keen understanding of design principles along with the ability to design in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma

• Illustration and animation skills preferred

• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your design work, particularly in digital design

Physical Requirements:

• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen

• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is:

$63,100

to

$86,800

Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate’s work experience in related roles; the candidate’s knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
