Key Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in commercial roofing estimation.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency is a must.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in estimation software, organizational abilities, and job tracking capabilities.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Licenses: A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Work Ethic: Must be a team player capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated, innovative, and able to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects as a Commercial Roofing Estimator.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for bids.
- Maintain and update cost databases and estimation software.
- Present and explain estimates to clients and project managers.
- Monitor the progress of projects to ensure estimates remain within budget.
