Corporate Counsel Litigation - Falls Church VA

Role Overview Northrop Grumman’s Legal and Contracts Department is seeking a Corporate Counsel for its litigation group at the Company’s headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. The Corporate Counsel will focus on disputes involving the Company’s government contracts, including bid protests, claims and REAs, and matters involving DCMA, DCAA, or other federal agencies. The Corporate Counsel may also work on investigations or commercial disputes. Responsibilities Work with and manage external lawyers and service providers. Develop and implement legal strategies and manage the Company’s actions regarding potential disputes and matters in litigation. Collaborate across all parts of the business to provide effective legal advice to the Company. Brief senior management on disputes or matters involving significant legal exposure or risk to the Company. Develop and manage legal budgets. Essential Skills & Abilities Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, risk assessment, and negotiation skills. Strong work ethic and collaborative approach. Highest standards of integrity. Ability to balance multiple, competing priorities. Basic Qualifications Juris Doctor degree. Active State Bar Membership with the ability to become a member of the Virginia Bar or licensed Virginia corporate counsel. At least 8 years of litigation and government contracts experience, with more experience preferred. Experience litigating government contract matters. Proven litigation experience and expertise as a litigation strategist. US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Active US Security Clearance. Significant bid protest experience. Experience supporting clients in the defense and/or intelligence communities. Experience litigating against or on behalf of the federal government. Salary & Benefits Primary Level Salary Range: $233,300.00 - $335,300.00.
