Job Summary – Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Travel)

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Department (PEDS ED)

Location: Washington, DC

Schedule: 3x12-hour AM/PM Rotating Shifts

Location Requirement: Candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved Registered Nursing program .
• Active District of Columbia (DC) Registered Nurse License .
• Minimum 2 years of full-time or 3 years of part-time acute care nursing experience .
• Recent Pediatric Emergency Department (PEDS ED) experience required.
• Strong pediatric assessment, emergency nursing, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure emergency situations.
• Demonstrated employment stability with the ability to maintain long-term assignments.
• Candidate must live 50 miles or more from the facility.

Required Certifications

• DC Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume Pediatric Emergency Department or Pediatric Trauma Center.
• Previous experience with pediatric trauma, critical care, and emergency stabilization.
