Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development

Septerna seeks a Senior Medical Director to lead clinical development strategy and execution across the company's pipeline. This role involves designing clinical development plans, directing trials across all phases, and serving as the clinical leader for one program while collaborating cross-functionally with regulatory, operations, and research teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical development strategy and planning for all programs in matrixed environment
- Design and implement clinical development plans aligned with target product profile
- Direct clinical trials across all phases, including protocol design and amendments
- Provide medical oversight and contribute to regulatory documents and clinical study reports
- Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders including key opinion leaders
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with clinical development experience
- Strategic leadership experience in drug development programs
- Expertise in clinical trial design and regulatory interactions
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Experience with GPCR or endocrinology therapeutics preferred
