Description of Responsibilities
  • Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Adeptly ensure patient comfort and safety during examinations, clearly communicating each step with kindness
  • Work closely with radiologists and referring medical practitioners to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues
  • Thoroughly document procedures and keep precise patient records in the electronic medical database
  • Stay informed on developments in ultrasound imaging practices and techniques
Education Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a comparable discipline
  • Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program greatly preferred
Certifications Required
  • Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
Skills Needed
  • Proficient in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
